The faces behind everyday life, told through portraiture. Sub-categories: Farmers, Workers, Shopkeepers, Fishermen, Artisans, Politicians and Others.
The natural world at its most spectacular. Sub-categories: Flowers, Trees, Mountains, Rivers, Birds, Sunsets and Others.
Shot entirely on a phone — the best camera is the one you carry. Sub-category: Others.
Images with a purpose. Sub-categories: Cleanliness, Recycling, Pollution, Water conservation and Others.
The Rules
By submitting an entry you agree to these rules and confirm that all information you provide is true and accurate.
Open to photographers worldwide, amateur or professional. Entrants must be 18 or older. Members of the organising committee and the judging panel may not enter.
Every entry must be submitted under one of the five categories above — Wildlife, People Portraits, Naturescape, Mobile Photography or Social Message — and its matching sub-category. Choose the theme your photograph best fits.
A fee is payable per photograph. Reserve your slots by paying first, then upload. Fees are non-refundable, and every entry supports Rotary Coimbatore Manchester’s work for Pediatric Oncology. Give every image a title — untitled entries may be rejected.
Submit JPEG files within the size limit shown on the contest page, ideally 1920 pixels on the longest side in sRGB or Adobe RGB. No borders, watermarks or signatures. Keep EXIF data intact. Black-and-white images are welcome.
Global adjustments to exposure, contrast and colour, plus cropping, sharpening, noise reduction and minor dust-spot removal are allowed — provided they do not misrepresent the scene.
Do not add, remove, clone or relocate elements, and do not use AI tools to generate or alter your image. Any edit that misleads the viewer is not permitted.
No captive, domestic, farm or caged animals or pets; no baiting, artificial setups or human interference; no trap-camera images; and no photograph that has previously won an award in this contest.
You are solely responsible for capturing images lawfully, including drone regulations and wildlife-protection laws. Wildlife must never be harmed or unduly disturbed for a photograph.
You keep full copyright of your images. By entering, you grant the organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use entries for judging, exhibition, publication and promotion of the contest, with credit wherever possible. Images are never sold to third parties without your consent.
You confirm you are the sole creator and copyright owner, that your entry infringes no third-party rights, and that you hold any model or property releases required.
Entries are judged blind by an independent jury on technical merit, composition, creativity and theme relevance. The jury’s decision is final, and awards may be withheld if entries do not meet the standard.
Shortlisted entrants must supply the original RAW and a high-resolution file on request. Failure to do so in time, or any doubt over authenticity, may lead to disqualification.
An entry may be disqualified at any stage for breaching these rules, providing false information, manipulating the image beyond the guidelines, or failing verification — without refund.
The organiser is not liable for any loss or claim arising from participation. You agree to indemnify the organiser against third-party claims relating to your images.
Personal information is used only to run the contest and communicate with you, and is not shared with third parties except as required by law.
The organiser may amend, suspend or cancel the contest or these rules at any time, and is not responsible for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
These rules are governed by the laws of India, with disputes subject to the courts of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Official communication is by email — please check your inbox and spam folder.
