Who we are

This platform is operated by Rotary Club of Coimbatore Manchester to run its photography contest. Contact us at rotarycbemanchester@gmail.com or 9994472344. In these terms, "we" and "the organiser" mean the club, and "you" means the person using the site or entering the contest.

Accepting these terms

By creating an account, paying an entry fee or submitting a photograph you agree to these terms and to the Contest Rules, which form part of this agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. Where these terms and the Contest Rules differ on a contest-specific point, the Contest Rules apply.

Your account

You must be 18 or older to enter. Provide accurate details and keep your login credentials confidential — you are responsible for activity on your account. You may sign in with an email address and password or with Google. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Entry fees and payment

A fee is payable per photograph, shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see or store your card details. You reserve your entry slots by paying first and then upload your photographs against those slots. Applicable taxes and payment-gateway charges are displayed at checkout.

Refunds

Entry fees are non-refundable once paid, including where an entry is later disqualified for breaching the Contest Rules. Proceeds support the club’s work for Pediatric Oncology. If a duplicate or failed payment is charged to you in error, email us within 7 days and we will refund the incorrect amount.

Your photographs and copyright

You keep full copyright of every photograph you submit. You confirm that you are the sole creator, that the image infringes nobody else’s rights, and that you hold any model or property releases needed.

Licence you grant us

By entering you grant the organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to reproduce, display and publish your entry for the purposes of judging, exhibition, the contest archive, and promotion of the contest and the club. We credit you wherever practical. We do not sell your images to third parties, and we do not license them for unrelated commercial use without your written consent. You may ask us to stop using an image in future promotional material at any time.

Acceptable use

Do not upload unlawful, obscene, hateful or infringing content; do not attempt to access another entrant’s account or our systems without authorisation; do not disrupt the platform, scrape it at scale, or interfere with judging. We may suspend or remove an account that breaches this clause.

Judging and disqualification

Entries are judged by an independent jury and the jury’s decision is final. We may disqualify an entry, without refund, where it breaches the Contest Rules, where information you gave was false, where editing goes beyond what the rules permit, or where you cannot supply the original RAW file on request.

Availability of the platform

We aim to keep the platform available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend it for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. Submission deadlines published for a contest stand; if a fault on our side prevents uploads close to a deadline, contact us and we will consider a reasonable extension.

Third-party services

We use Razorpay for payments, Microsoft Azure to store submitted images, ZeptoMail for email and AskEva for WhatsApp notifications. Using this platform means your data may be processed by these providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the organiser is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or opportunity, or for loss of data arising from your use of the platform or participation in the contest. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify the organiser against third-party claims, and reasonable costs arising from them, that relate to photographs you submit — including claims of copyright infringement or breach of privacy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Material changes affecting an open contest will be notified by email to registered entrants. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
